Walnut Hill Luncheon
On Friday, August 31st, 2018, Shiloh SDA held a back to school luncheon for the teachers and staff members of Walnut Hill Elementary School here in Petersburg, VA.
The group was treated to a formal, sit down lunch in the church’s fellowship hall hosted by the church’s talented hospitality team. By all accounts, a great time, and meals were had by all. The group was appreciative of the gesture and relished the opportunity to take a break from their hectic back to school schedule to enjoy a good meal.
The luncheon was only the first of many acts of appreciation Shiloh SDA plans to extend toward the neighboring Petersburg Public School. Aware of the city’s current all hands on deck status Shiloh SDA has committed to doing its part to offer an assist by informally adopting the local and neighboring elementary school.
Under the leadership of Pastor Maxwell Ferguson, Ph.D., Shiloh SDA has made a concerted and focused effort to increase its presence within the community starting with the adoption of Walnut Hill Elementary.
